This New England City Is Using Goats To Get Rid Of Their Poison Ivy
I have never experienced poison ivy but I hear it is in short, the worst. According to WTHR, Montpelier, Vermont has had one of their worst years ever with the rash-inducing plant. They even had to put up warning signs give walkers and bikers the heads up.
The city didn't want to implement any chemical treatments to solve the problem. So they are trying a natural way to eradicate the growth of the pesky plant; goat grazing!
On Wednesday three goats were put to work and munched on some poison ivy along a bike path behind a high school. Don't worry, the poison ivy doesn't harm the goats!
From what I hear, goats make great yoga companion. And now they can take care of a whole citie's poison ivy problem. What can goats not do!?
