This New England Dog Is A Hero

The next time Disney wants to make a movie about a brave dog, they should consider Mikki, a Texas Heeler, from Taunton, MA. Mikki smelled smoke and saw flames…so he started barking to wake up his owner and his girlfriend. The three quickly evacuated their three-story house, as the flames spread.

According to the Taunton Gazette, firefighters had to knock down the door to a second floor apartment to save a dog that had been left home alone. That dog belonged to the landlord.

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but their home suffered significant damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
