On Monday there was a crunch heard throughout all of Portsmouth.

According to Seacoast.com, students in all Portsmouth schools held a "Great Apple Crunch" on Monday in celebration of National Food Day and National Farm to School Month.

The students and staff bit into apples at 2 p.m., and 3,000 Granite State-grown apples from Duane Family Farm’s Carter Hill Orchard in Concord. CRUNCH!
