Tolls May Be Rising On NH Highways
(Concord, NH) - The Executive Council will vote next week on a proposal that would increase tolls effective March 1.
Under the proposal, tolls would go up between 25 and 50 cents. The new rates would be $1.50 on I-93 in Bedford and Hooksett, $2.50 at the Hampton Toll Plaza on I-95 and $1.00 at the Dover and Rochester Tolls Booths on the Spaulding Turnpike.
A public hearing is expected to be held prior to the vote on December 6th.
Governor Chris Sununu has voiced his opposition to the hikes.
The last statewide toll increase in New Hampshire was in 2007.
