10-Year-Old NH Girl Asked for Donations to Pregnancy & Parenting Education Program Instead of Gifts
When I turned 10-years-old I wanted clothes for my American Girl doll for my birthday. I didn't have the wherewithal or the worldly view to realize there were human beings in this world that don't have clothes to wear; children as well as adults. To hell with Samantha! She can wear the same outfit every day, SHE'S A DOLL.
Well, Isabel from Manchester, New Hampshire isn't your average 10-year-old. She had a birthday coming up and instead of asking for the latest Hatchimal (kids are still playing with those, right?) she wanted her friends who came to her birthday party to donate diapers, wipes, and baby items. The items were donated to the Our Place pregnancy & parenting education program in Manchester.
The 4th grader said,
I think it’s really nice to know that I’m helping little tiny babies who need help and love,”
How amazing is she? We all could stand to be a little more selfless.
