2023 Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Halloween Parade Best Halloween Costumes

I love Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

I have only lived in a few parts of New England, so  I am partially biased. However, I don't think there is a town or a community that is better than Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Halloween night was the night of the 2023 Portsmouth Halloween parade.

I had never been to the Halloween parade, only the Christmas parade. To be quite honest, I was not expecting too much from a Halloween parade.

Boy was I wrong.

There were thousands of people that swarmed downtown Portsmouth's Market Square.

I was incredibly impressed with all of the spectator's costumes. I wore a little pumpkin onesie, but looked like a scrub compared to all of the other spectators.

But it was not necessarily the spectators that made the parade special. It was the unique, creative, one-of-a-kind costumes that actually walked the parade route.

Below are some of the best costumes I saw during the 2023 Portsmouth Halloween parade.

I must say, I did not capture all of them. I was in the back, so I did not get a great view of ALL of the parade walkers.

Also, the pictures do not do some of the costumes justice. For example, there was a group of Barbies, male and female, who did the thriller dance up and down the streets of Portsmouth.

I could not capture a picture of the barbies because I was blown away by the performance.

Many of the groups did dances, like the Ghostbusters tribute by the really tall creatures (I'm not sure what else to call them).

Bottom line? The parade was amazing, the turnout was out of this world, and the costumes blew my mind.
