In a world where everything changes, it is more than nice to know that one place has remained the same for 4 generations.

Brown's Lobster Shack in Seabrook, New Hampshire is an iconic restaurant on the Seacoast of New Hampshire.  We love it and hope it never changes.

Brown's seafood comes straight from the water into your belly, (well, almost) so you know it's really good. And their onion rings are also.... mouth watering.

There are so many great things about Brown's that I wanted to tell you everything you need to know so you can make a plan to go.  You won't regret it.

  1. The Brown family has been in business since 1950.  Four generations of the family have worked there.
  2. The view of the river at Brown's is beautiful.  It's not one of those places where you have to covet your spot before anyone else takes it.  There's a great view no matter where you sit.
  3. There are lots of picnic tables to choose from.  If you need a chair with a back on it, be aware that there are picnic tables at Brown's.  BUT, don't let that stop you.  Bring one of those chairs you might use at an outdoor concert.  .
  4. Brown's is Dog Friendly with seating specifically for them and their human family.
  5. Brown's is cash only and has been since I've been going there for the past 30 years.  If you don't have cash on you, there is an ATM on premises.

The Best Thing About Brown's Lobster Shack Might Not Be The Seafood

6.  (The Best thing!) You can bring your own booze at Brown's.  Yup.  Every time I go, I have a brown paper bag with my "liquor du jour" inside.  It's totally legal and totally awesome.  Do you know of any other place that lets you do that?

Brown's is open year 'round, but in the Winter, they do have limited hours.  No matter what time of year you go, for me, Brown's screams SUMMER!

See you there!

Iconic Diners in New Hampshire

There’s just something about a diner… the coffee that never stops coming, the same booth people have probably been sitting in for 30 years, and a breakfast that somehow hits every single time.

As I’ve been getting to know New Hampshire, one thing became very clear — this state LOVES its diners. And not just any diners… we’re talking iconic, been-here-forever, locals-swear-by-it kind of places.

So I went down the rabbit hole (and got very hungry in the process) and pulled together some of the most iconic diners across the Granite State.

Did we get your favorite? Or are you already mad we missed one? 😅
