This story started in 2020 with a small food truck and an incredible focus on making the best Neapolitan-style pizza New England has ever seen.

Fast forward four years to 2024, and Buxton's Pizza has now opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Derry, New Hampshire.

I have endless admiration for Buxton's Pizza and its owner, Josh Buxton.

Josh, a phenomenal chef with an imagination most people wouldn't dare to dream of, has nailed down some of the best pizza I've ever had. Josh's success of the first established restaurant has come after years of slinging 'za every weekend all over the Granite State in his food truck.

The success was in the hard work, getting the name out there, and most importantly, perfecting some phenomenal-tasting and unique pizzas.

Look at 'em. You HAVE to give Buxton's a try.

Before Buxton's even opened real building doors, Josh and his pizzas took home some prestigious awards, starting after year one.

In 2021, Buxton's Pizza took home the Best Food Truck award in New Hampshire.

The awards kept coming, which probably helped lead Josh to set up his first restaurant.

In 2023, while still slinging pizza in the food truck, Buxton's Pizza won Best Food Truck yet again.

And now, Buxton's opens their dining room doors at 158 Rockingham Road in Derry.

This chapter of Buxton's is bigger and even better. While they are best known for their Neapolitan-style pizza, the brick-and-mortar establishment will offer new plates and desserts.

And according to Josh, the new dishes and desserts will "hit just as hard as our pies."
