(Dover, NH) - The summer growing season is here, and the summer-long Dover farmers market is the place I go for fresh vegetables.

I try to buy local as much as possible, and every Wednesday from now through the end of September, the parking lot at the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce is filled with vendors selling fresh veggies and fruits, flowers, baked goods and even locally produced wines.

The event runs from 2 to 6 pm, and even includes live music.

A small section of 6th Street from Central Avenue to Chestnut Street is closed to traffic during the weekly market.
