New Hampshire DOT Almost Broke the Internet with this Winter Weather Warning
If you've been living in New England for a while you have seen your fair share of Winter Weather Warnings whether they are from a local police department's Facebook page or on a highway sign. They mostly all convey the same message which is "Snow is coming so take it slow".
Here is a perfect example of the typical "snow is coming" message we see on social media:
This past weekend we saw a Winter Weather Warning from NH Dot that was unlike any other we have seen before.
Who is running the social media for NH DOT? They deserve a raise!
It is unclear if the New Hampshire Department of Education has employed a Gen-Z social media correspondent or maybe the person running their socials is very up on the current slang. Either way, NH Dot's most recent Winter Weather warning accomplished their goal of breaking through the noise and got tons of engagement; over 5,500 likes and 2.7K shares to be exact!

If you don't speak Gen-Z, allow me to translate for you. This is what the post said:

Slow it down; this ain’t Fast & Furious.
Translation: Drive at or below the speed limit. You are not in the movie Fast & Furious.
Watch for icy spots, especially on bridges—they’re sus.
Translation: keep an eye out for ice, bridges are especially suspicious
Stay safe out there, legends. Don’t let the drip (of ice) mess with your Riz!
Translation: Stay safe our there, people who are exceptionally good at driving! Don't let the icy roads mess with your ability to attract someone, especially a romantic or sexual partner, through style, charm, or attractiveness.
As mentioned the response to this post was monumental, albeit not all responses were positive ones.
Eddi Micah said: I'm reporting this for terrorism
Shane Richardson said: It’s not too late to delete this.
Johnny Lewis: I fear the end times are near
Good lord, the comment section is almost more entertaining than the post itself.
Do you think NH Dot should continue to post in this way?
