These Are The Four Prettiest Towns In New England

New Hampshire may be the most beautiful state I've ever lived in. And I've lived in more than a few. Maine, California, New York, Texas, Ohio, Nebraska, and West Virginia...just in case you're wondering.

With that said...how could you possibly pick one city to be the prettiest in the entire Granite State? Well, the people at Architectural Digest figured out a way. They visited every state in the nation, and picked out the prettiest in each.

Here in New Hampshire, the editors of AD picked Portsmouth. Citing it for its "many historical attractions, some dating back to the 1600s, and is a sought-after destination come summer."

The prettiest city in Maine is Stonington. Architectural Digest says "being in Stonington is like slipping back into time, with wooden boats bobbing in Penobscot Bay and homes (many with cedar-shake shingles) built into the sloping hillside."

Meanwhile, Edgartown takes the prize in Massachusetts. Editors pointed at the "gorgeous shoreline" as proof.

And in Vermont, Stowe is the prettiest because of it's " stunning year-round beauty."

No matter where you live in New England, you are, without a doubt, living in one of the most beautiful places in the United States of America. And I should know.
