Employment figures about to come out
The Labor Department is about to report September employment data and economists say it was likely a pretty good month. A FactSet survey finds that economists think employers added 215,000 jobs last month and that there's been no change in the 6.1 percent unemployment rate.

Small Quake Shakes Concord
The Concord area saw a small earthquake overnight. The federal Geological Survey says the 1.7 magnitude quake was centered about a mile northeast of Concord at 9:42 last night. No injuries have been reported.

FLOTUS arrives in Maine today
First lady Michelle Obama comes to Maine today in an effort to boost the gubernatorial campaign for Democratic Congressman Mike Michaud. Mrs. Obama will be part of a rally at the University of Maine in Orono. Michaud's race to unseat Republican Governor Paul LePage remains tight according to recent polls.
