Is Blood Forest Really Haunted?

The beach does get crowded this time of year, so I am taking to the hills to do some exploring.  Given the number of Great White Shark sightings, I am going to stay out of the water, but I still liked to be scared so I am taking a haunted hike.  I’m thinking I will attempt the Blood Forest in Lancaster, MA. Maybe the land got its name from the donor but possibly something more sinister happened in those woods per hauntedplaces.org

Blood Forest in Lancaster, Massachusetts

The land for Blood Forest was donated to the town by a very generous Arthur W. Blood back in 1946 (appropriately named) who allegedly took a turn to the dark side.  It is said that he started murdering people in the town and hanging their bodies from trees in the forest.  Was he crazy?  Or a serial killer?  No one seems to know.  Blood Forest is located off Brockelman Road in Lancaster, Massachusetts.  I got my boots ready to go and knife just in case.

Urban Legend

There have been reports of white apparitions walking along the stone walls and even a sighting of a creature that seems like Bigfoot!  Urban legends have it that a couple was killed while camping there in the 1970s, but I can’t find any information on that incident, so I am guessing it’s just a rumor.  Perhaps it will just be a really nice hike in a lovely wooded spot or maybe I will see a ghost. Whatever I discover I will report back, if I make it back that is!
