Grant Lavigne, from Bedford, NH, was the 42nd overall pick in the MLB Draft. According to WMUR, the first baseman/left fielder has earned a scholarship to play baseball at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, but will now most likely turn pro.
WMUR says prior to last night's selection Lavigne had been contacted by 25 MLB teams.
