NH DOT to Provide Aid to Spaulding Turnpike Commuters
A great big thank you is in order for the NH Department of Transportation. Starting today (Jan 14th) they will be providing assistance to motorists who have car troubles on the Spaulding Turnpike between Portsmouth and Rochester.
Aid to drivers will be minor in nature and limited to things such as flat tires, running out of gas or having a dead battery. The Motorist Safety Patrol will be out there from 5:30 to 8 am and 3:30 to 6 pm Monday through Friday. The thinking is that even a small incident can cause big problems and having someone out there to help will keep traffic flowing smoothly.
For those of us who have driven on the Spaulding year after year this is great news and the NHDOT deserves congratulations for making it happen. It's a long time in coming and great help to Seacoast commuters.
