If you shop at Target, then you're familiar with brand names like Mossimo and Merona. Well, now comes word the company is doing away with those brand names along with a few others.

Target is saying so long to some of their most well-known brand names, in exchange for newer labels. The Wall Street Journal is reporting brand names such as Mossimo, Merona, Cherokee and Circo Kids are being discontinued as Target tries to update their offerings in order to keep up with the competition. You can read more in this article from WCVB in Boston.

Both Cherokee and Circo Kids have already been replaced with 'Cat and Jack' and 'Art Class.' Reports say Target plans to add more than a dozen new brand names that you will only be able to purchase through their stores and online.

Overall, more than half of Target's clothing lines and more than one third of its home décor lines will be changed in the next two years.
