New Country 97.5 WOKQ and American Senior Magazine have teamed up to salute an outstanding senior who makes New Hampshire a special place to live. Over the next few months, we'll highlight some amazing people. This week, we feature Donald Potter.

Donald's friend, Jackie Frary, says this about him:

Veteran, Donald Potter, 92 years young, is a past District Governor for New Hampshire Lions Club, and current long-time member of the Amherst Lion Club. He is involved in the Legacy Project, supporting the Amherst Fire Unit. For seven years, Donald has headed up the Amherst Car, Tractor & Truck Show, helping to raise money for the Lions Club. Donald "walks the walk" with young Amherst artists, and participates in the annual Peace Poster Contest, which challenges children to spread the mission of peace through the medium of poster art with specific themes like: The Future of Peace. He also fought for our country. Always volunteering his time, Donald Potter has been inspiring people for decades.

Nominate a special senior in your life to tell their story. They can be a relative, friend, neighbor or someone else you know. You can even nominate yourself. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, and a one year subscription to American Senior magazine. They'll also be invited to a luncheon here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we're saluting.
