I don’t know who’s in charge of naming streets in New Hampshire… but I need to meet them, or I just need that job as a side hustle.

Because at some point, someone looked at a map, named a road, and said, “Yep… that’s the one,” and nobody questioned it.

And now we all just casually drive past signs like it’s totally normal.

But once you start noticing them… you can’t unsee them.

I went down the rabbit hole on Reddit and here are a few of the weirdest (and funniest) street names I found around New Hampshire:

Small Pox Road – Kingston

This feels really aggressive. Is that necessary?
Like… who approved this? You still have your job?

Pickpocket Road – Exeter

Again… not exactly comforting if you’re new in town.

Happy Hooker Lane – Salem

I mean… as long as she’s happy, right?
Still not a sentence you want to say out loud when giving directions.

Ta Da Dump Road – Holderness

This one sounds like a punchline.
And honestly… it kind of is. It literally leads to the town dump. LOL

Tumbledown Dick Road – Brookfield

No explanation. No notes. Just… wow.
This one has been making people scratching their head for years.

Electric Ave – Penacook

Normally not weird… until you realize it’s a dead-end street.
Which feels like the ultimate joke. Then you get the song stuck in your head from the 80s. 🎶 We're gonna rock down to Electric Avenue 🎶

Bloody Point Road – Newington

Sounds less like a place… and more like the start of a horror movie or crime scene.

Helter Skelter Road – Littleton

Either a Beatles reference… or chaos. Possibly both.

Frying Pan Lane – Stratham

If this connects to Bacon Street somewhere… I’m moving immediately.

Sesame Street – Raymond

Yes. Like that Sesame Street.
No confirmation yet if Big Bird lives or has lived there… but I’m choosing to believe it.

Dirt Road – Merrimack

No creativity. No fluff. Just… dirt.
Honestly, kind of respect it. If you need to know, it leads to Blueberry Island.

This is so New Hampshire and exactly why I love it here.

It’s not polished. It’s just… real.

Some of these names come from history, some from geography, and some feel like inside jokes that somehow became permanent.

And now they’re part of the personality of the state.

I KNOW I’m missing some good ones…

What’s the weirdest street name you’ve seen in New Hampshire?

Drop it on the app or hit us on Facebook, because I feel like this list could get out of control real fast.

Iconic Diners in New Hampshire

There’s just something about a diner… the coffee that never stops coming, the same booth people have probably been sitting in for 30 years, and a breakfast that somehow hits every single time.

As I’ve been getting to know New Hampshire, one thing became very clear — this state LOVES its diners. And not just any diners… we’re talking iconic, been-here-forever, locals-swear-by-it kind of places.

So I went down the rabbit hole (and got very hungry in the process) and pulled together some of the most iconic diners across the Granite State.

Did we get your favorite? Or are you already mad we missed one? 😅
