President Joe Biden will visit the Seacoast on Tuesday as part of his campaign to show the benefits of his Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

The president is on his second official trip to New Hampshire, and is due to arrive on board Air Force One at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease early in the afternoon and head to the New Hampshire Port Authority at Portsmouth Harbor.

Market Street between Deer Street and Submarine Way (location of the USS Albacore) closed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for Biden's visit.

Biden will be accompanied by Sen. Maggie Hassan who, along with Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, secured $1.6 million in funding in the bill for improvements to the shipping channel and turning basin near Portsmouth Harbor and the Piscataqua River.

The senators also got $50,000 included to further investigate erosion and shoaling in the Hampton Harbor.

Biden visited the Route 175 bridge that crosses over the Pemigewasset River in Woodstock, New Hampshire in November, as part of the White House effort to get the infrastructure bill passed. The bridge is on the state "red list" due to its poor condition.
